After losing his daughter, Rachel Scott, in the Columbine shootings of 1999, Darrell Scott began a journey of self-discovery that has impacted over 25 million people through his writings, television appearances, and school programs. This book is not a religious guide, but it is a spiritual road map to help you enter a place of peace and joy that is available to everyone, if they just knew where to find it. The secret does not lie in fame, fortune, or power, but resides deep within the human spirit of each individual.

You already have, within you, everything that you are seeking for in the outer, physical world.  The answers are not religious - - but they are spiritual.  The thing you are really searching for in a new car, home, or mate, is actually deeper than the objects of your desire.  You are seeking for peace, joy, and fulfillment.  This book explains how to access those things whether or not we obtain the physical objects that we think will provide them.

Good Companion Piece to Thirsty Fish
I see this as a companion piece to Thirsty Fish. The latter is a collection of poems by Darrell Scott. Whereas this book, Say "Yes" to the "Now", goes into depth about the inspiration behind several of the poems he's written. He references several of the poems in here. The book is about looking inward and experiencing the true joy that comes from the rejection of earthly attachments and anxious thoughts. It's interesting to read. Rachel's family has been accused of pushing a Christian agenda, but it's clear from reading this book that her father is not caught up in religious dogma. This is a very spiritual book that I believe can be appreciated even by those who aren't Christian.
